Fluffy Cloud on a Stick - Wall Hanging - FREE PATTERN

I love all the woven wall hangings that are so on-trend right now. Though, I have not attempted this art, as of yet. I do, however, love crocheting decor! I wanted to share my January Crochet Wall Hanging with y'all. I made this last January and I brought it back out after the holidays!

It's the last day of January and I couldn't let this month go by without sharing this little project with you. (Is it just me, or is this year FLYing by?!?) I'm totally still in the winter mood. I love bringing the outside-inside by decorating with natural elements, as well.

Also, I seriously love Snowflakes of any kind, but especially Crochet Snowflakes! If you haven't seen my Crochet Snowflake Project Board, go ahead and click to check it out. This Wall Decor was one of the reasons why I created the board the first place.

The patterns I used for the hanging snowflakes are #'s 1, 2, 6, & 10 on my Project Board, but you're welcome to use any snowflake pattern you'd like.

My Free Pattern featured here is for the CLOUD that I wove back and forth on the stick that I found outside. (I told you I liked bringing the outside-inside) You're welcome to use a wooden dowel - if you like a more clean look, or anything else somewhat straight, to create your Winter Wall Decor.

Snuggly Huggly Mug Hug - FREE PATTERN

The snow is all gone now - but I'm still craving hot cocoa! (Honestly, let me be real - when do I NOT crave something chocolate?!?) I decided when I came across this new stitch that I wanted to incorporate it into a mug hug.

It's called the crunch stitch - and it's a super easy stitch combo and it works up with lots of awesome texture! I love how my mug looks like it's wearing a sweater now!!!
Here's a video if you'd like to watch the stitch in action: https://youtu.be/BIQiGbUTEPA

My Crochet Snowflake Project Board - 10 Easy & Free Patterns

I have always loved creating Project Boards to keep me focused and to keep everything in one place. Now, with the help of Pinterest, I can do it so easily online too.

I was researching some Easy and Free Snowflake Crochet Patterns. I found a few I hope to use in a couple projects that I'll share on my blog.

So, I thought, "What better way to share the love, than to share my findings with you?!?"

New Year, New Blanket

Something I have had a hard time doing is completing a crochet blanket. I've completed and designed countless other projects, and I've completed a couple baby size blankets. but I have yet to complete a full size blanket.

I started out this year with an idea to do 2 rows a day in a different colour than the day before. (Do-able even for me, right?!?)

Mindful Monday - #1

"It takes a little bit of mindfulness and a little bit of attention to others to be a good listener, which helps cultivate emotional nurturing and engagement." Deepak Chopra
One thing that I learned when in my deepest darkest depression is the practice of mindfulness. On Mondays I hope to offer a quote, and idea, an affirmation or something to keep all of us mindful and living in the present.

I hope you'll join me. Please let me know in the comments if you'd like a quote or idea to be featured. Also, let me know how being mindful has helped you in your life too!

Happy New Year

Welcome to my blog.

With a new year comes new hopes and dreams, and in my case, a revamp of my blog too.

All of my previous posts are edited so that you have to click the Continue Reading link, so that I could start with a new outlook and new focus. Hope y'all don't mind.

This new version of my blog will be a crochet blog, a food (gluten free) blog, a family blog, a craft blog, a diy blog --- whatever my heart (and Bloggy ADD mind) desires!

I hope to entertain and inspire creativity as well as offer hope to all who come across my page.

This is a short and sweet intro, although I hope you return each post and join me in this journey.
